Holleman Wakes Up Back In Detroit
• UPDATED: Entercom Country 99.5 WYCD/Detroit just purchased an extra chair in the studio for new morning co-host Josh “JT” Holleman (left), who returns home to Detroit and plugs in across from Rachael Hunter (center) and Steve Grunwald (right) as one third of rebranded Josh, Rachael and Grunwald in the Morning, weekdays from 5-10am ET.
The move marks a return to Entercom Detroit for Holleman, who was an on-air personality for sister WDZH (98.7 The Breeze) from 2015-16, back when it was 98.7 AMP Radio. Since 2016 Holleman has done afternoon drive for Hubbard’s WIL-FM (New Country 92.3)/St. Louis. He started his radio career in 2007 at WWBN/Flint, MI.

• Meanwhile, back at WIL-FM, Holleman’s former MD/afternoon spot has been filled by format veteran Marty Brooks, who most recently doubled as APD/MD/afternoon personality on Entercom Country WLFP (94.1 The Wolf)/Memphis and evening talent on sister WPAW (93.1 The Wolf)/Greensboro until last month, when Entercom underwent a serious restructuring of its Country and Alternative formats.
Brooks previously worked at Cumulus Top 40/Country combo WHTS & WTNR/Grand Rapids, MI and NRG Media Top 40 WHTQ (Hot 96.7)/Wausau-Stevens Point, WI. He makes his Gateway City debut on Oct. 12.
In a related story, RAMP has confirmed that WIL-FM, formerly New Country 92.3, has rebranded simply as “92.3 WIL,” and has relocated “New Country” into its updated slogan, “New Country For The StL.”
