The Game Is Afoot
• Entercom Sports-Talk KGMZ (95.7 The Game)/San Francisco will introduce a revamped on-air lineup — including the addition of market veteran Kate Scott as morning co-host — effective October 12. Ms. Scott will be joined by current midday co-host Bonta Hill and evening personality Joe Shasky to form The Morning Roast, weekdays from 6-10am PT. Current morning host Dan Dibley moves to middays alongside Matt Steinmetz and Daryle “The Guru” Johnson on the rebranded Steiny, Guru and Dibs. Former morning co-host Lorenzo Neal will join the show every Monday as the station’s NFL expert, and station contributor John Dickinson will succeed Joe Shasky as night show co-host, joining Ryan Covay for Covay and JD. Damon, Ratto and Kolsky remain in afternoon drive, followed by The Football Hour with Sean Salisbury from 6-7pm.
Kate Scott is an Emmy Award-winning broadcaster who spent the last five years with the Pac-12 Networks, and previously spent six years as the first full-time female voice on crosstown rival KNBR. “As a lifelong Bay Area sports fan, getting to help launch a new morning show covering the teams I grew up cheering for in one of the greatest cities in the world is truly a dream come true,” said Scott. “I know I speak for all of us when I say we are incredibly grateful for this opportunity and cannot wait to get started.”
Greg Nemitz, SVP/Market Manager of Entercom San Francisco, remarked, “Our new 95.7 The Game lineup brings a unique combination of passion, energy, enthusiasm and experience to an already accomplished radio station and will allow us to better serve our listeners. Kate Scott has continued to demonstrate that she is a rising star in the format and will excel with Bonta and Shasky in mornings.”
