Perfect Mix Is Critical For Gustav

• There’s more good news for Portland radio mainstay Gustav, whose talents were recently acquired by Alpha Media to do afternoon drive on Triple A KINK-FM, following a successful 25-year run across the street on Entercom Alternative KNRK — where he also created and produced an EDM-formatted mix show called EDM/PDX, featuring alternative remixes, trance, progressive house, some ’80s and ’90s classics and nightclub staples.

We are pleased to relay the news that Gustav’s mix show concept lives on — rebranded as Critical Mix Radio, the show is set to launch on Colorado Public Radio’s KVOQ (Indie 102.3)/Denver and Nashville Public Radio’s brand new 91.ONE WNXP/Nashville, starting Dec. 5.

Featuring a seamless mix in four different segments over two hours, Critical Mix spotlights remixes of current alternative and pop crossover artists, dance classics, as well as several EDM formats ranging from house to techno, trance and more, while evoking memories from the “going out days” to clubs and festivals.
