Pullman: Middays In ATL, PM Drive In Dallas
• Cumulus Country WKHX (New Country 101-FIVE)/Atlanta announced format vet Jason Pullman as its new midday personality, starting Monday, Jan. 11. He replaces Corey Dylan, who is now doing mornings on Local Media San Diego Adult Hits KFBG (100.7 BIG-FM)/San Diego. This move marks a return to Atlanta radio for Pullman, an Atlanta native who notably spent a decade doing mornings on iHeartMedia Country rival WUBL (94.9 The Bull) a few years back.
RAMP has learned that Pullman will be based in Dallas, where, as we reported in December, he was hired to do afternoon drive on Cumulus Country sister KPLX (99.5 The Wolf)/Dallas. We are told he will commute between both markets on a regular basis.
In making the announcement of Pullman’s hire, Sean Shannon, VP/Market Manager, Cumulus Atlanta, said, “Jason is about as ‘Atlanta’ as it gets. We’re thrilled to have him come home and join our team.” WKHX PD Mike Moore, noted, “Jason has a long-standing relationship with Country music fans and the community in Atlanta, and I’m very excited to have him join our team. I have no doubt he will bring an incredible level of energy and entertainment to middays on New Country 101-FIVE!”
Pullman previously co-host the morning show on Entercom Country WUSN (US99)/Chicago until late June 2020, and earlier in his career he did afternoons at KYSR/Los Angeles during its Hot AC Star 98.7 era.Commenting on his new dual-city gig, Pullman said, “It’s incredible to finally be back home. Hosting middays on my hometown radio station New Country 101-FIVE is yet another dream come true. I can’t wait to see you at Truist Park, Ameris Bank Amphitheatre… or just shopping at Publix.”
