Management Moves @ McKibbin Media
• Michigan-based McKibbin Media Group (MMG) announces a new management team, starting with the appointment of Dennis Worden as its new General Manager, overseeing all MMG’s properties in Jackson and Hillsdale, MI — News-Talk WKHM-AM (970/101.5), Top 40 WKHM-FM (K105.3), Fox Sports 101.9 (WKHM-FM-HD2) and Country WIBM-AM (95.9 The Power Cow)/Jackson, MI, and WCSR-AM (Radio Hillsdale 92.1) and Country WCSR-FM (99.5 The Dale)/Hillsdale, MI.
Worden (pictured) fills the GM position following the tragic passing of McKibbin Media Group owner Jamie McKibbin in November 2020. Jamie’s wife Katina McKibbin has now assumed the role of McKibbin Media Group President.
A native of Concord, MI, Worden was most recently Sr. Director of Communications for NASCAR’s legendary Darlington Raceway in South Carolina, and he previously worked in media relations back home in Michigan for Michigan International Speedway, Wayne State University and Hillsdale College. Worden remarked, “It’s a tremendous opportunity for me to serve as General Manager for McKibbin Media Group and return to my roots in the Jackson and Hillsdale areas of Michigan. I’m honored and blessed to be able to carry on Jamie McKibbin’s legacy in this position. He is certainly missed by all of us that knew him. I’m excited to get started and continue to carry on the strong traditions and commitment to the local Jackson and Hillsdale communities the radio stations have served for decades.”
• It was concurrently announced that MMG has promoted longtime Production Director and K105.3 PD Jared Hammond to Operations Manager of the Jackson stations, and Brian Bolenbaugh, who has been on the company’s sales and marketing team for several years, has been promoted to Local Sales Manager of the Jackson stations.
