Afternoons Open In Kansas City

• Steel City Media Country KBEQ (Q104)/Kansas City MD/afternoon personality TJ McEntire has exited after a remarkable 28-year run.

In a Facebook post, McEntire said, in part, “Thank you for being a part of my journey at Q104, from 1993 to 2021. I’ve met so many great people like you! Thank you for spending your afternoons with me, having me on your radio. You as listeners, have actually turned into friends! I’ll be here in KC still living life to the fullest… I’m excited to focus on my new endeavors like What’s Cooking with TJ and my podcast, Mac & The Millennial. Stay tuned for the next chapter of TJ McEntire.”

Q104 PD Todd Nixon commented, “TJ was a force to be reckoned with and a huge part of the success of Q104 for nearly three decades. I wish her nothing but the best for what’s next in her future!”

Nixon is absorbing Q104 MD duties and is now seeking a new afternoon drive personality. Candidates for the afternoon spot are urged to send their packages to Nixon at TNixon@steelcitymedia.com. EOE.
