Gello Bounces To His Next Stop
• RAMP has confirmed that Deongello “Gello” Vanorsby has exited the morning show on Beasley Rhythmic AC WMGC (105.1 The Bounce)/Detroit. He is expected to announce his next move shortly.
Gello arrived in the Motor City in December 2016 to do afternoon drive, one of The Bounce’s inaugural “Ambassadors.” Gello and his former afternoon drive partner Joanna moved up to mornings in Nov. 2018.
A native of the Phoenix area, Gello spent the first seven years of his career with Riviera Broadcasting Rhythmic KKFR (Power 98.3 & 101.9)/Phoenix, rising through the ranks from nights to afternoons and mornings. In Sept. 2015 he crossed the street to do mornings on Sierra H Rhythmic rival KNRJ (101.1 The Beat).
