Cumulus Media AC KMGA (99.5 Magic FM)/Albuquerque, NM announces two major personnel changes, naming major market veteran Bryan Simmons as PD and Doug Durocher as morning co-host. Simmons’ radio career spans many years in Los Angeles; most recently, with CBS Radio Urban AC KTWV (94.7 The Wave); prior to that, he was the longtime afternoon host for iHeartMedia AC KOST/Los Angeles. He is also heard nationally on Westwood One. Simmons succeeds Jon Allen as PD. Simmons (left) said, ‘I’m beyond thrilled to be working with Jeff Berry, Brad Hansen and the entire team of professionals here in Albuquerque as well as Mike McVay, Emily Boldon and Greg Frey, whose guidance I’m so thankful for! I have a great airstaff anchored by a super morning team in Meredith & Doug and I know we’ll make Magic in ABQ!”

Durocher (left) replaces Chris Fox and will plug his headphones in across from existing co-host Meredith Dunkel to create the… wait for it… Meredith & Doug Show, weekdays from 5-9am. Durocher notably spent 10 years as MD/morning host on Alternative KCXX (X103.9)/Riverside, CA until January 2016, when the station flipped to Rhythmic Hot AC KHTI (Hot 103.9). Before that he worked at KPOI/Honolulu. Durocher said, “I’m overjoyed to team with Meredith Dunkel for 99.5 Magic FM’s Meredith & Doug Show. Together, we hope to completely dominate the morning ratings in Albuquerque!”
