iHeart To Broadcast ‘Global Citizen Live’
• iHeartMedia announced it will join its longtime partner, international advocacy organization Global Citizen, as the exclusive U.S. audio partner of Global Citizen Live on Saturday, Sept. 25, an epic 24-hour global broadcast from six continents to millions of listeners on iHeartRadio stations across America and the iHeartRadio app. The event is being held to defend the planet and defeat poverty will feature music performances from venues in Lagos, Rio de Janeiro, New York City, Paris, London, Seoul, Los Angeles, Sydney and more, in an effort to inspire global action and shine a light on issues ranging from equitable access to COVID-19 vaccinations, hunger, education and climate change.
Artists and entertainers scheduled to participate in this global broadcast special include: Adam Lambert, Alessia Cara, Andrea Bocelli, Angélique Kidjo, Billie Eilish, BTS, Burna Boy, Camila Cabello, Christine and the Queens, Coldplay, Davido, Demi Lovato, DJ Snake, Doja Cat, Duran Duran, Ed Sheeran, Femi Kuti, Green Day, H.E.R., Hugh Jackman & Deborra-Lee Furness, Keith Urban, Lang Lang, Lizzo, Lorde, Metallica, Rag’n’Bone Man, Ricky Martin, Shawn Mendes, The Lumineers, The Weeknd, Tiwa Savage, and Usher, with more acts TBA in the coming weeks.

To help support this historic worldwide event iHeart will launch Global Citizen Radio later this month which will offer the latest news and information surrounding the event leading up to Global Citizen Live. Additionally, iHeart’s six New York radio stations — WAXQ (Q104.3), WHTZ (Z100), WKTU, WWPR (Power 105.1), WLTW (106.7 Lite FM) and WOR-AM — will again support this year’s Global Citizen Festival, which will once again take place on the Great Lawn of New York’s Central Park on September 25.
