‘Let’s Get Ready To Remiiiiiiix!!!’
While much of the country is bundled up and fighting off freezing temperatures, the forecast for South Beach is always HOT — as evidenced by the buzz surrounding The 2nd Annual Remix Awards, happening this week in conjunction with the 32nd annual Miami Music Week. The Remix Awards, presented by The Remix Top 30 Countdown and Digital Music Pool (DMP), are designed to recognize and celebrate some of the most remarkable and talented remix producers from North America and around the world.
It’s the only awards show of its kind, and it’s happening tomorrow, March 23 from 7-11pm and Friday, March 24 from noon-6pm as part of the iHeartRadio/BMF Music Lounge at the W South Beach. The 2017 Remix Awards will recognize the leading talents in pop music production and celebrating artists from North America and beyond on the basis of North American radio airplay and quality of audio production in each category.
For the big second year, our pal Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton, afternoon icon on WKTU/New York and the host of the Premiere-syndicated Remix Top 30 Countdown will serve as your genial host and co-Executive Producer of The Remix Awards, working closely with a couple of experts: Alex Tear, iHeartMedia Regional SVP of Programming and Brian Fink, National PD of iHeartRadio’s Evolution format.
As Hamilton told RAMP, “We’re so excited to have the world’s biggest artists stopping by to present the well-deserved awards to the music industry’s most talented remix producers of the year.
