Easton Named PD Of Charlotte’s Kat Country
• iHeartMedia Charlotte has acquired the talents of major market veteran Shelly Easton as the new Program Director of Country WKKT (96.9 The Kat), starting Monday, October 18.
Easton brings over 25 years of programming expertise to her new role, most recently in Philadelphia, where she programmed Entercom Country WXTU for almost 11 years. She later served as Vice President of Music Programming and PD of AC WBEB (B101.1) and Classic Hits WOGL until her departure in January of this year. Easton got her radio start in 1987, and embarked on her programming career at WBRT/Harrisburg, PAin 2001. She later moved to Allentown, PA as OM/PD of WCTO (Cat Country 96) & AC WLEV and Citadel Country Format Captain.
Easton will report to A.J., SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Charlotte, who commented, “We are extremely pleased to have Shelly join our remarkable programming family.
