SummitMedia Posts Gaines In Knoxville
• SummitMedia, LLC has tapped veteran programmer Scott Gaines as Operations Manager of the company’s Knoxville cluster and PD of Country WCYQ (100.3 The Wolf).
Gaines (left) is a 35-year industry pro who was most recently OM of Alpha Media’s 11-station Amarillo, TX market and PD/afternoon personality for Country KGNC-FM. Gaines was previously APD/afternoon talent at Cumulus Country WKHX (101.5 Kicks)/Atlanta, afternoon driver on WGKX (Kix 106)/Memphis and WSM-FM (95.5 NASH Icon)/Nashville and APD/MD/afternoon jock on the former WDTW (106.7 The Fox)/Detroit.

I’m excited to be a part of it.” In addition to WCYQ, the Knoxville group also includes Rhythmic WKHT (Hot 104.5), Top 40 WWST (Star 102.1) and ’80s Classic Hits WNOX (Awesome 93.1).
Gaines succeeds previous Knoxville OM Kevin “Gravy” Canup, who resigned back in May and relocated back to Michigan for family reasons.
