Mike Kennedy To Re-Retire
• RAMP has confirmed that Country Radio Hall of Famer Mike Kennedy, OM of Audacy Kansas City and Brand Manager of Country WDAF (106.5 The Wolf) and Hot AC KZPT (99.7 The Point) will be returning to the lucrative and relaxing world of retirement, effective Dec. 17.
Kennedy originally wrapped up a successful 40-year radio career at the end of 2016, announcing his retirement from Steel City Media Country KBEQ (Q104) after a 25-year run. He remained connected to KBEQ as the station’s lead consultant. During that time, Kennedy also owned and operated KXBZ-FM/Manhattan, KS. However, in Sept. 2019, Kennedy was coaxed back into the day-to-day radio world, hired by Entercom as OM/PD of WDAF and Hot AC KZPT.
