Grand Rapid Elevation For Evans
• Townsquare Media announced that Ken Evans, Brand Manager of Hot AC WLHT (Mix 95.7)/Grand Rapids, MI, has been elevated to Director of Content for the cluster, which also includes Active Rock WGRD, Classic Hits 98.7 WFGR, AC WTRV (100.5 The River), and Hip Hop WNWZ-AM (Magic 104.9). He succeeds Doug Montgomery, Townsquare’s Director of Country Programming, who will return to focusing on overseeing the Company’s 70 Country stations.
“Ken’s leadership was evident the moment he first joined Townsquare earlier this year,” said Jeff Luckoff, Market President & Chief Revenue Officer, Townsquare Grand Rapids. “His market knowledge, passion for bringing out the best in his team, and his ability to connect with our audience well suits him for this position.”
Evans was named Brand Manager of WLHT in April of this year. He’s a longtime Grand Rapids market veteran who previously served as APD and morning co-host across the street at Cumulus Top 40 WHTS (105-3 Hot FM). Before that he put in seven years in mornings at iHeartMedia rival WSNX, along with a earlier stint at WMAX (the former i96) and some time at WKFR/Kalamazoo, MI.
“I can’t thank my longtime mentor Doug Montgomery enough for bringing me on board during a pandemic,” Evans said. “I’m humbled that our Regional Content Director Eric Meier & our Regional President Jeff Luckoff are now trusting me with the legendary brands and talents that we bring to the table in Grand Rapids. 2022 is shaping up to be the best year for our cluster with unmatched local content across the board with the best team in West Michigan.” Say “Congrats, Ken!” at Ken.Evans@townsquaremedia.com.
