KOSF: ’80s Plus Christie James
• iHeartMedia’s ’80s-centric Classic Hits KOSF (80s + @ 103.7)/San Francisco has elevated Christie James to host of Morning Drive with Christie Live!, weekdays from 6-10am. She will be joined by co-host Karena Velazquez who will produce the show and provide traffic reports.
James (left) is already more than familiar with the KOSF wake-up shift, as she has co-hosted The Martha Quinn Show with original MTV VJ, Martha Quinn since 2016. Quinn recently moved to middays as part of a national rollout. James also has more than decade of previous San Francisco morning radio experience, including roles on Renel in the Morning on KISQ and The JV Show on KYLD (Wild 94.9).
“After nearly six years as co-host on The Martha Quinn Show, Christie is more than ready to take the reins as the host, following Martha’s move to middays,” said Don Parker, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia San Francisco. “Christie is such a natural on the air — her energy, positivity, sense of humor, and ability to make everyone around her smile are amazing.
