Rob Basile: Free Agent
• Veteran Canadian programmer Rob Basile has resigned from position as Sr. Manager, National Content & Affiliate Relations with Orbyt Media, Canada’s premier syndication group, effective Feb. 18, to pursue other opportunities. Among Basile’s many industry accomplishments: He launched/programmed CIRR (Proud FM 103.9)/Toronto, the world’s first commercially licensed LGBTQ radio station (home of Elvis Duran & The Proud Morning Show); Launched/programmed CJCH (101.3 The Bounce)/Halifax; Assistant Brand Director at CKFM (99.9 Virgin Radio)/Toronto with Chris Ebbott; and Program Director of Rogers’ CHYM 96.7 and Country 106.7/Kitchener, ON. He also oversaw music programming for all 12 of Astral Radio’s streaming channels.
