Elmore Named GM Of RCS Productions
• Atlanta-based RCS Productions has tapped music industry veteran Tod Elmore as General Manager and Principal Talent Buyer. Elmore (pictured) joins RCS from his artist management and consulting firm, Hubbub! Music, where he continues to work with artists and songwriters. In his new role, Elmore will oversee day-to-day operations, assist with business development, and act as principal talent buyer for the company’s portfolio of municipal, corporate, fairs, and venue clients.
Over the course of his career Elmore has experienced pretty much every facet of the music industry — he got his start at Georgia State University’s WRAS (Album 88), worked at Turtle’s Records, ran the Alternative Radio Promotion department for Atlantic Records, opened his own independent promotion and marketing company, Wiley Music, and co-founded the concert/cruise venture, Sixthman. He later launched Hubbub! Music where he often worked with RCS President, Stephen Moore, pitching his clients to Moore’s many concert events. For several years, Elmore also taught Event Marketing and Touring and other industry courses at SAE Institute in Atlanta. He’s also a board member of the non-profit group Rock By The Sea.
“Tod’s tenacity in representing his artists always impressed me and I have no doubt that he will represent RCS with the same enthusiasm,” says Moore. “His breadth of knowledge and outside-the-norm relationships has already opened new doors for the company.” Moore will continue his focus on business development, venue design consulting, and assist with talent buying.
Elmore remarked, “Live music is the lifeblood of the music industry and there is no greater feeling than watching artists and audiences enjoying a magical moment. I look forward to playing even a small role in making that happen!” Rounding out the RCS team are Office Manager Shannon Sandel and Operations Manager Marcus Wilbur.
