MHA Welcomes Carla Denham
• Music Health Alliance (MHA), recently honored with the 2021 CMA Foundation Humanitarian Award, announced the addition of Carla Denham in the newly created role of Chief External Relations Officer.
Denham joins a talented 12-person team of advocates who have worked tirelessly over the last nine years to support the physical and mental health needs of America’s music community — Founder & CEO Tatum Allsep; Shelia Shipley Biddy, CFO & Certified Senior Advisor; Nikki Black, VP, Programs & Policy; Taylor McLeod, Sr. Director of Advocacy & Insurance; Colleen Hoagland, Project Manager; Bonita Allen, Sr. Director of Group Health, who will now focus on group health exclusively; Erin Lancaster, Manager of Client & Advocate Support; record industry veteran Suzanne Berg, Manager of Advocacy & Insurance; Denise Roberts, Manager of Advocacy & Insurance; Sophia Rhoades, Manager of Advocacy & Insurance; Suzanne Spooner-Faulk, Financial Administrator & Executive Assistant to the CFO; and Laura Flagler Crowell, Executive Administrator to the CEO.

A veteran in the purpose-driven brand business, Denham has led and/or grown brand marketing agencies in Tennessee, California, and Hawaii, including Rowland Worldwide, a division of Saatchi-Saatchi, one of the world’s largest marketing/advertising agencies. A journalism graduate of San Diego State University, Denham is the recipient of numerous marketing and creative awards and is also a member of the Country Music Association (CMA), Academy of Country Music (ACM) and thr advisory board for The Franklin Theatre.
