Gooooood Morning, Albany!
Albany Broadcasting’ heritage Top 40 WFLY (FLY92.3)/Albany, NY is ready to unwrap the brand new FLY Morning Rush, hosted by the newly minted wake-up team of Jake Allen and Ashley Marie, starting Monday, April 17. Allen is already a well-known quantity in the Albany Broadcasting hallways and on the Albany airwaves — for the past five years he’s juggled mornings on Country clustermate WKLI (100.3 The Cat) and middays on FLY92.3. His new co-host Ashley Marie is inbound from afternoon drive on Delmarva Hot AC WAFL Eagle 97.7)/Dover, DE.
“I’m thrilled to welcome such a dynamic team to FLY92.3,” said PD Ally Reid. This is an exciting change, and Jake and Ashley have remarkable chemistry. They work hard, play hard and can’t wait to spend their mornings with Capital Region listeners. This is a great new chapter for FLY92.3 and the FLY Morning Rush with Jake & Ashley.” Allen remarked, “I grew up listening to FLY92.3 and still can’t believe this is happening. I’m honored and more excited than I’ve ever been to be in radio. This is going to be a blast! Ashley and I can’t wait to give our listeners a fun and unique experience every morning.”
Jake & Ashley succeed former longtime morning duo Brian Cody and Chrissy Cavotta, who recently crossed the street to do mornings on Townsquare Media Country WGNA. WKLI (100.3 The Cat) is now seeking a new co-host to team up with Dana Race. Candidates are invited to send their packages to PD Jon Reilly at jreilly@albanybroadcasting.com.
