Tom Hanrahan On The Loose

• Tom Hanrahan, Area SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Alabama has left the company after 25 years, the last 20 with the Birmingham cluster.

Hanrahan, who also served as PD/afternoon personality (as “Major Tom“) at Country WDXB (102.5 The Bull) originally entered the building in 2002 as PD of WDXB and AC sister WMJJ (Magic 96.5) and was later elevated to OM of the cluster.

Hanrahan’s first PD role was at WSTH (South 106.1)/Columbus, GA in 1996, which lead to the PD post at Clear Channel Country WPAP/Panama City, FL, where he was later upped to OM.
