Lisa McKay Scholarship Deadline Friday
• This Friday, Sept. 23, marks the deadline to apply for the CRB Lisa McKay Women in Radio Scholarship program. Named in honor of the late Lisa McKay, a 2018 Country Radio Hall of Fame inductee who famously mentored numerous young, female radio professionals during her 16 years of programming WQDR/Raleigh, this scholarship program awards three aspiring female radio programmers the opportunity to attend their first-ever CRS. Each scholarship package will include complimentary registration, hotel, and airfare for CRS 2023, which will be held March 13-15, 2023 at the Omni Nashville Hotel.
Eligible applicants must be either a female College senior broadcast communications student involved in radio programming or a female with one to three years maximum experience in the radio business as a PD, APD or MD and a first-time CRS attendee. Each applicant must fill out an online application and submit, in 500 words or less, why she should be considered — before Friday’s deadline. DMR/Interactive joins CRS as a supporting partner of this scholarship program for 2023, adding to its existing participation in the CRS Rusty Walker Scholarship program.
Scholars will be recognized at CRS 2023 during CRS Honors, which is the kick-off to the 3-day event. Registration for CRS 2023 is now open at $649 per person.
