Republic Ups Gryn To EVP, Global Mkting Strategy
• Republic Records has promoted Donna Gryn to Executive Vice President, Global Marketing Strategy.
Ms. Gryn is a 10-year Republic Records veteran who has been handling marketing strategy for marquee pop acts and has been integral to the success of Ariana Grande, Jonas Brothers, John Legend, Conan Grayand more. In this newly created role, Gryn will oversee global business development and international marketing initiatives for the entire roster while overseeing a growing team of strategists in the department.
The announcement of Gryn’s upgrade was made by Republic Co-President Jim Roppo, who commented, “Over the past decade, Donna has been crucial to not only breaking artists on an international scale, but also sustaining their success over the years. She is the rare marketing executive whose expansive vision is matched by her incredible work ethic and commitment to our collective mission as a team. As such, she’s the perfect leader for our global marketing initiatives, and it’s an honor to announce her much-deserved promotion.”

Gryn joined Republic Records in 2012 as Sr. Director of Marketing and was upped to VP of Marketing in 2016 and SVP of Marketing in 2018. She previously held executive positions at Polo Grounds Music, Virgin Records, and Star Trak Entertainment in addition to consulting for Epic Records. Ms. Gryn began her career in 2001 as assistant at Roc-a-Fella Records while attending NYU. She’s based at Republic’s NYC HQ.
