Zytle Named PD of KYKZ/Lake Charles

• Cumulus Country KYKZ 96.1/Lake Charles, LA has appointed Aaron “AZ” Zytle as Program Director and morning personality.

Zytle, a native of Tyler, TX, has over 30 years of radio experience, most recently as Brand Manager and morning host for Townsquare Country KUSJ (US 105)/Killeen, TX. Before that he anchored AZ & The Morning Rumble on iHeartMedia Rock KBRQ (102.5 The Bear)/Waco, TX, which was simulcast on Active Rock KLFX (107.3 The Fox)/Killeen-Temple until Jan. 2020, when he was one of many downsized during iHeart’s large Covid-related layoffs. Zytle formerly spent 16 years with Bahakel Alternative KRXP/Colorado Springs, CO, rising from APD/Promotions Director to PD, before his departure in early 2017.

Zytle succeeds former KYKZ PD/morning talent Mike Tyler, who in August transferred to the vacant OM post at the company’s Melbourne, FL group.
