Free Agents: Mastro & Muscatello

• Audacy Mainstream Rock KRXQ (98 Rock)/Sacramento has parted ways with afternoon guys Stroke Mastro and Mikey Muscatello, hosts of “That Damn Show.” The show’s producer 3rd/mic Lara Nelson remains with the company; their other castmate Ian Massengale was downsized in August.

Mastro joined KRXQ to do afternoon drive in June 2017, making the sizeable market leap upward after a 13-year run at Magic Broadcasting Active Rock WYYX (97X)/Panama City, FL, rising to PD/MD and morning personality.

This had been Muscatello’s second run with Audacy Sacramento – he previously worked there from early 2007 until July 2011, when he transferred to sister WAAF/Boston as Imaging Director. He followed that with a two-year stint as Imaging Producer at SiriusXM in New York before making his return to Sacramento in July 2015.
