Daily Update: Travis New PD of SLC’s Bull
• As we hinted in Tuesday’s RAMP, Cumulus has tapped veteran Country programmer Travis Daily as the new Program Director of KUBL (93.3 The Bull)/Salt Lake City. He succeeds another Travis – Travis Moon, who in April joined Cox Media Group Houston as Director of Operations.
Daily had spent the past four years with Beasley Media Group Tampa as Operations Manager of the group and PD of Country WQYK. Prior to that run, Daily was across the street at iHeartMedia, where he launched crosstown rival WFUS (US103.5) in 2005, later rising to SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Tampa and Sarasota. Earlier in his career Daily served as OM for Clear Channel Southern Colorado (including Colorado Springs and Pueblo) and PD/morning host on Country KCCY. Before joining Clear Channel in 2000, Daily was OM/PD of Walton Stations’ Country KKCS/Colorado Springs.
Patrick Reedy, RVP/Market Manager, Cumulus Salt Lake City, said, “We cast the net far and wide to find the type of person that loves a competitive battle, thinks strategically, and knows how to have fun. We hit the trifecta with Travis.” Chris Hoffman, OM of Cumulus Salt Lake City, commented, “Finding just the right candidate to guide the evolution of 93.3 The Bull has been an exhaustive search. In Travis Daily, we found everything we were looking for. I can’t wait for him to get started.”
Daily remarked, “The quality of people you work with is very important. Getting the chance to join a team that includes Patrick Reedy, Chris Hoffman, John Dimick and Brian Philips is not only beyond exciting, but humbling that they would trust me to be the new PD of KUBL. I’m glad to be headed back to the mountains and to the West, where I belong.”
