Carlyle Fishes With Friends In Madison
• Last week we told you Kristina Carlyle has resigned from Pamal Broadcasting in Albany, NY, where she held the dual roles of morning host on AC WYJB (B95.5) and midday talent on Country WKLI (100.9/107.1 The Cat) for a new gig TBA — the cat… pardon the pun… is now out of the proverbial bag, as it was revealed that Carlyle is headed to Mid-West Family Country WWQM (Q106)/Madison, WI as the new co-host of the Fish With Friends morning show alongside market mainstay Fish Calloway, starting April 17. She will succeed Jen Stephens, who recently returned home to Michigan for an opportunity outside of radio.
Commenting on Carlyle’s impending arrival, Madison OM Randy Hawke said, “Kristina’s love of Country music, knowledge of radio and social media savvy make her the perfect person to continue the growth and evolution of Fish with Friends.”
Carlyle first joined WKLI in April 2018 as MD and morning co-host after a stint as APD/MD/afternoons at Griffin Country KVOO/Tulsa, OK. She left in August 2020 to co-host the morning show on Max Media AC WVBW (92.9 The Wave)/Norfolk-Virginia Beach, and returned to WKLI a year later. Carlyle earlier served as PD of iHeartMedia’s KTGX (106.1 The Twister), and APD/MD/middays at CMG’s KWEN (K95)/Tulsa. Earlier in her career Carlyle spent eight years with Cumulus Country KRST/Albuquerque, NM and served as Director of Midwest and Southwest Promotion for Sidewalk Records.
Carlyle commented, “I’m so excited to be returning to country mornings and pairing with Fish, whom I instantly had such fun chemistry with.”
