Audacy Ups Crockett To Dir., Programming
• Audacy has elevated Corey Crockett to the position of Director, Programming. The announcement was made in a memo from SVP of Programming Dave Richards, which reads, in part, “Over the last year and a half since joining Audacy, Corey has proven himself day in and day out, by leading the execution of such initiatives as Hip Hop Made, I’m Listening, 1Thing and Launch, and as a key part of the rollout of our partnerships with ReelWorld, USRN and Live Nation. He also plays a critical role in the central programming departments communication, collaboration and coordination to the extent that we wouldn’t do it justice by listing it here.”
Crockett is a graduate of Syracuse University and the former GM of the school’s influential radio station, WJPZ (Z89). His first commercial gig was weekends at iHeartMedia Top 40 WWHT (Hot 107.9)/Syracuse, which lead to his next opportunity as APD/MD and on-air at iHeartMedia’s WNOH (Now 105) and WMOV (MOViN 107.7)/Norfolk. Prior to his 2022 appointment as Manager, Programming, Crockett did weekends at now former Audacy Alternative WNYL (ALT 92.3)/New York.
