MIW & McVay Go Behind The Mic
• Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, Inc. (MIW) proudly announces the Behind the Mic Mentorshipprogram, sponsored by McVay Media. This initiative is designed specifically to support the growth and evolution of women on the air.
The Behind The Mic Mentorship program is a year-long experience designed exclusively for female personalities who have been in an on-air position for at least 3-5 years in a local or national capacity and have demonstrated a desire to grow their on-air career. The selected mentee will receive personalized conversations and advice from a wide range of industry pros, including two of radio’s top stars — national radio & television personality and Gracie Award winner, Elaina D. Smith, host of Nights with Elaina, and Christine Nagy, morning co-host of iHeartMedia’s WLTW (106.7 Lite FM)/New York. The program affords the mentee the chance to attend Radio Show 2024 in Las Vegas next April.
MIW Board President Ruth Presslaff said, “This is going to be a stellar mentorship opportunity. If you’re a woman on-air, go for it! The mentorship is available to one female on-air personality from any U.S. based music format. Applications are open now and are being accepted HERE through Sept. 24.
