Kate Hudson Signs With Virgin Music Group
• Virgin Music Group, the world’s leading partner to independent artists, labels and entrepreneurs, announced today that they have partnered with award-winning actor and emerging singer/songwriter Kate Hudson for her recorded music debut. The first single under the new deal, titled “Talk About Love” is set for release on all major DSPs tomorrow. The track was co-written by Kate with Linda Perry and Danny Fujikawa and produced by Johan Carlsson and Fujikawa.
“I’ve been caught up writing and witnessing life in songs since I was a child,” said Hudson, who “famously” brought the ultimate rock muse “Penny Lane” to life in Cameron Crowe‘s 2000 Academy Award-winning film, Almost Famous. “But it always comes down to the moment, and the ability to make sure you can be there for the music. Finally, for me, that time is now,” she said. “I’m so happy to be a part of the Virgin Music family. This has been a true labor of love and to have the full support of a team that nurtures an artist’s vision has been a refreshing and inspiring experience.”

Hudson is managed by Sandbox Entertainment Group CEO Jason Owen and President Jake Basden. Sandbox also manages six-time Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves, Kelsea Ballerini, Faith Hill, Little Big Town, Dan+Shay and Midland.
