Chadd & Kristi Recommit To Eugene
• McKenzie River Broadcasting AC KMGE (94.5 Mix FM)/Eugene, OR is happy to announce that they’ve extended morning team Chadd & Kristi Thomas for another three years.
The popular husband/wife duo are celebrating their 24th year of doing mornings together. Their on-air partnership began in 2001 at CMG AC WWRM (Magic 94-9)/Tampa, where they enjoyed a 16-year run. They later worked at Beasley AC WPBB (b98.7)/Tampa Bay and Audacy AC WDZH (98.7 The Breeze)/Detroit, prior to joining KMGE in March 2021.
“We are incredibly thrilled to continue our radio journey here in the Eugene/Springfield area — home of the Oregon Ducks — and some of the most amazing listeners who welcomed us with open arms!” said Kristi. Chadd noted, “And as we have done for more than 20 years, we’re going to continue our commitment to giving back to the community — whether it’s finding homes for hundreds of shelter pets like this past year or taking an icy plunge in the Willamette River to help raise funds for Special Olympics! It’s all about having fun and connecting.”
Kristi added, “This truly is a special place to call home. Our daughter now attends the University of Oregon. We are lucky to have the support of a Program Director like Jeff Baird and a fantastic owner like John Tilsonwho still understand the importance of being live and local.”
Baird said, “John and I are thrilled to have Chadd & Kristi continue their success with 94.5 Mix FM. In their previous three years with McKenzie River Broadcasting, they have set a new standard for morning radio in the market with their nonstop effort. Listeners love ’em. Clients love ’em. This is a huge win for us, and we’re locked-in through 2027!”
