Seven Pets For Seven Vets

• Congrats to Sherman & Tingle, morning duo at Hubbard Classic Rock WDRV (97.1 The Drive)/Chicago, who, in partnership with the American Veterans Service Dog Academy (AVSDA), just successfully completed their 7th annual “Give a Vet a Pet” campaign to raise funds to help provide service dogs to local veterans who are suffering from PTSD.

The costs associated with delivering each service dog to a veteran totals $15,000, and with all the latest monetary donations now confirmed, the generous listeners of the Sherman & Tingle Show raised $107,272! — That’s enough to pair seven separate service dogs with veterans who would greatly benefit from the positive effects, emotional support, and companionship these dogs provide.

Afterward, hosts Brian Sherman & Steve Tingle remarked, “Year after year, we’re just amazed at the generosity of our Drive listeners. Their support of this important cause has such a positive impact on the lives of Chicago-area veterans who benefit tremendously from living and working with these service dogs.”
