Live Free Country Is Live & Local
• Saga Communications’ four-month-old Country outlet WMLL (96-5 Live Free Country)/Manchester, NH has tapped Tommy Jordan (left) as morning co-host, teaming up with well-known local morning talent (and New Hampshire native), Laura Stelchook (right). Jordan arrives from Philadelphia, where he had been working at Audacy AC WBEB (B101).
The new gig also marks a Saga homecoming for Jordan, who previously hosted mornings on Saga Hot AC WCVQ (Q108)/Clarksville, TN. Jordan’s resume also includes afternoons at KHTT (106.9 K-Hits)/Tulsa, and two stints in morning drive at WAFY (Key 103)/Frederick, MD (under Nassau Broadcasting, and later, Manning Broadcasting). Earlier in his career Jordan did afternoons at WJRZ/Monmouth-Ocean and he also enjoyed a 15-year run at WPST/Trenton.
“I am thrilled for this opportunity!” said Jordan. “Thank you to [Market President] Lucy Lange for bringing me back to the Saga family. I’m so excited to be in New England and working with Laura.”
Jordan’s hire also rounds out Live Free Country’s fully live and local weekday line-up, with (left to right): Mark Healey in middays, Brand Manager “Michael James” Czarnecki in afternoon drive, and Sophie Sargent from 7-midnight. Czarnecki said, “In an era where more and more stations are using out-of-state remote voice trackers, syndication, and corporate playlists, we are so fortunate and thrilled to offer local talent and local programming to super-serve southern New Hampshire.”
Market President, Lucy Lange added, “Our company is firmly committed to supporting our local community, the only way you can do that, is being part of the fabric of the cities and towns, we serve. Listeners are smart — they know if you are local. Tommy is the perfect complement to 96.5 Live Free Country local team.”
