New South Adventure For Jay Michaels
• New South Radio in Jackson, MS is excited to welcome major market veteran Jay Michaels aboard as Brand Manager of heritage Top 40 WYOY (Y101) and AC WJKK (Mix 98.7), starting Friday, May 17.

Michaels arrives from Austin, TX, where he most recently programmed Waterloo Media Triple A Austin City Limits Radio (KGSR-HD2). Before that he worked for NRG Media Omaha as PD of Hot AC KQKQ (Sweet 98.5), Rhythmic KOPW (Power 106.9) and Adult Hits KOOO (101.9 The Keg), and Michaels’ extensive resume also includes stops in Dallas (KVIL, KJKK, KDMX & KDGE), KRBE/Houston, and earlier Austin experience at KHFI and Sinclair-owned Rhythmic KDHT (Hot 93.3). Earlier in his career Michaels was OM of WROX & WUSH/Norfolk, VA and worked in artist management with Larry Rudolph in Los Angeles.
