Frost Upped To OM, Cenla Alexandria
• Market longevity has paid off for Melissa Frost, PD of Cenla Broadcasting Country 100.3 KRRV/Alexandria, LA, who has been promoted to Operations Manager of the group, which also includes heritage Top 40 KQID, Soft AC Magic 100.9 (KQID-HD2), Classic Rock KZMZ, Urban AC KKST (Kiss 98.7), ESPN affiliate KDBS-AM, News-Talk KSYL-AM, and Oldies K-Dixie (KRRV-HD2). She will retain her current PD position at KRRV.
Given all of the changes this industry has undergone over the past decade or so, Frost is a radio rarity — she started her career at KRRV back in 2001, and has been there ever since. At the time, KRRV and four others in the group were owned by Clear Channel, and spun off to Cenla in 2007.
The news of Frost’s promotion was shared by VP/GM Chad Soprano, who said, “Melissa has been an invaluable member of the Cenla Broadcasting team, bringing creativity, passion, and a wealth of experience to the table. Her dedication to excellence and proven leadership skills make her the perfect fit for this role, and we have no doubt that she will excel in her new position. We are confident that with her leadership, Cenla Broadcasting will reach new heights of success.” Your best wishes can be shared with Frost at melissa@cenlabroadcasting.com.
