Lundon On The Loose

• SummitMedia Country WZZK/Birmingham has parted company with midday personality Dana Lundon after eight years. Lundon was also tracking middays on Country sister 101.3 KFDI/Wichita. We understand that WZZK PD Mike “Sandman” Sanders has inherited the midday shift.

Lundon arrived in Birmingham in August 2016, coming off a 19-month stint with Forever Communications in Jackson, TN, where she co-hosted the Morning Splash on Country WOGY (Froggy 104) and tracked nights on Classic Hits sibling WYNU (U92).

Speaking of Michigan, Lundon famously spent 17 years in Detroit, most notably as morning news/traffic reporter and 3rd mic with Blaine & Allyson In The Morning on Cumulus Hot AC WDVD. Her previous Motor City stops include WOMC, WYCD and WKQI. Over her three-decade radio career, Lundon has also worked atB96/Chicago, WTIC-FM/Hartford, WLUM/Milwaukee, WZEE (Z104)/Madison and JET-FM/Erie, PA, to name a few.
