Jackson Rocked By Rock 93.1
• New South Radio, Inc. d/b/a Digio Strategies in Jackson, MS is excited to announce the launch of Rock 93.1, the market’s first-ever New Rock Alternative station, utilizing the city-grade frequency of 93.1 (W225BK) and WHJT-HD2, replacing the Blues format, which moves to WIIN-AM 780/102.1, formerly Rhythmic AC The Box.
Rock 93.1 will be under the command of Jay Michaels (pictured, below), Brand Manager of Top 40 WYOY (Y101) and AC WJKK (Mix 98.7). Michaels said, “To have the opportunity to launch the very first Rock/Alternative station in Jackson is such a huge game-changer, as we bring back iconic artists like Weezer, Linkin Park, Nirvana, Cranberries, and blink-182, plus new rock from Shinedown, Noah Kahan, Twenty One Pilots and more!”
Michaels added, “The support from owner Clay Holladay, Market Manager Kelly Crocker and Operations Manager Jan Michaels and the team has been incredible. We are locally owned and programmed with all the media tools, air talent, and work environment to have a wildly successful station.”
