VanDerbeck Named Market Pres., iHeart Albany

• iHeartMedia announced that Rob VanDerbeck has been named Market President for the company’s Albany, NY group, effective immediately. He will now oversee the operations of all seven Albany stations while continuing to serve as Market President for Poughkeepsie, NY, and Sussex, NJ.

VanDerbeck brings over 26 years of experience in broadcast sales, with the last 12 years focused on driving success in several key markets for iHeartMedia. He joined iHeartMedia in 2012 as SVP of Sales for Hudson Valley and Sussex, NY, and in 2022, was elevated to Market President for both markets. Prior to his tenure with iHeartMedia, VanDerbeck was Director of Sales at Albany Broadcasting for two years and VP of Sales for Cumulus Poughkeepsie for nearly a decade.

VanDerbeck reports to Bob Morgan, President for iHeartMedia Upstate New York, who said, “Rob has been exceptional in leading our stations in Poughkeepsie and Sussex, and I’m looking forward to working with him as he expands his oversight into the Capital Region.”
