Power 99/Philly Promotes Voter Registration

• Monday, Oct. 21 is the final day to register to vote in the state of Pennsylvania. To help drive home that important point, iHeartMedia’s WUSL (Power 99)/Philadelphia is partnering with the Philadelphia City Commissioners Office for a special live broadcast to promote voter registration on Monday, Oct. 21 from 2-5pm at Community College of Philadelphia, hosted by Power 99’s Rise & Grind Morning Show featuring Mikey Dredd, Roxy Romeo and Mutha Knows, and co-hosted by Chairman Commissioner Omar Sabir.

Special guests will include Michelle Lopez, Director of the Institute for Community Engagement and Civic Leadership at Community College of Philadelphia, and Beth Lynk, Executive Director of “When We All Vote,” a national, non-partisan initiative founded by Michelle Obama. Attendees will enjoy food, giveaways and a chance to win those coveted tickets to Power 99’s Powerhouse 2024.

“This is one of the most consequential elections of our time, and Power 99 is thrilled to partner with the Philadelphia City Commissioners Office, Community College of Philadelphia, and When We All Vote to encourage voter registration,” said Derrick Corbett, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Philadelphia. “We’re especially focused on motivating young people to register on this last day and to make a plan to vote on November 5th.”
