Korby Ray Exits Mornings, WFEZ/Miami

• RAMP has confirmed that Cox Media Group has parted ways with Korby Ray, morning co-host on Soft AC WFEZ (Easy 93.1). Bobby Mitchell is now listed as the sole morning host.

Ray joined WFEZ in Nov. 2020 as Associate PD and midday host, filling the daypart formerly occupied by longtime WFEZ Director of Branding & Programming Gary Williams, who had exited that June due to budget cuts. In July 2023, Ray was elevated to morning co-host alongside new hire (and Miami market vet) Bobby Mitchell, replacing former morning duo Jeff Martin and Giselle Andres.

Prior to her arrival in Miami, Ray enjoyed a lengthy run in Myrtle Beach, SC, where she co-hosted mornings for DBC Classic Rock WYAV (Wave 104.1), and did middays at Alpha Media’s WMYB (formerly Star 92.1), middays and afternoons on Cumulus Country WLFF, and was APD/mornings on iHeartMedia Country WGTR (Gator 107.9).
