Cumulus Making Big Bay Area Moves
Let’s start at KNBR, which recently released midday co-host John Lund and longtime afternoon co-host Tom Tolbert. The station has announced new midday and afternoon co-hosts — Greg Silver (left) is your new midday co-host and Producer, joining current co-host (and 49ers play-by-play announcer) Greg Papa, weekdays from 10am-2pm beginning Monday, November 18. And in afternoon drive, say hello to Derek Papa (right, and the son of Greg), who will plug in across from current pm host, PD Adam Copeland, weekdays from 2-6pm, beginning Monday, December 2.
Cumulus San Francisco also announced that 5,000-watt KSFO, now heard at 560AM, will substantially increase its signal and reach with a move to the 50,000-watt signal at 810AM, the current home of KGO (810 The Spread), effective Monday, Nov. 18. No word yet on the future fate of The Spread.
Larry Blumhagen, RVP/Market Manager, Cumulus San Francisco, said, “We make these moves as Cumulus San Francisco is experiencing an exceptionally successful year. We continue to evolve as an organization committed to excellence and to growing for the future. With these changes, we say goodbye to some of our most storied and influential talent and we extend our gratitude for their countless contributions.” Stand by for further updates.
