Classic Rock/Classic Hits PD, Albuquerque

• American General Media (AGM) Albuquerque now has a prime programming position open, as Sam Newton has resigned as PD of Classic Rock KIOT (Coyote 102.5) & Classic Hits KABG (BIG 98.5) to accept a position in the Public Affairs department with The State of New Mexico.

Calling it “a bittersweet morning in ABQ,” the news of Newton’s departure was shared with the staff in an email from Bob Lewis, Regional Director of Operations & Programming, who said, “Sam has been an integral part of the success of KIOT & Classic Hits KABG and our AGM brands for over seven years. Sam has done an exceptional job for us all and we only wish him the best as he starts a new career and chapter in his professional life. His last day with AGM will be November 30th.”

Lewis added, “We will endeavor to replace this position with the speed and care necessary to further our ratings mission across both brands.” To that end, this awesome dual programming opportunity is now posted and ready for your online application. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of proven radio programming experience. Oh, and the gig also includes a weekday on-air shift on KIOT. EOE.
