Capitol Gets Busy To Head Pop/Rock Digital
• Capitol Records has named Brian “Busy” Dackowski as Executive Vice President/Head of Pop/Rock Digital Marketing. In his new role Busy will oversee the creation and execution of digital marketing strategies across the label’s pop and rock releases.
“Busy is one of the best music marketers in the world,” said Tom March, Chairman & CEO of Capitol Music Group. “Having him lead our digital marketing team is going to be a gamechanger for all the artists on our roster.”
Dackowski comes to Capitol after a 20-year stint with Atlantic Records, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President of Viral Marketing and Analytics. He previously heading multiple departments, including Digital, Marketing and Artist Development. Early in his tenure at Atlantic, Dackowski led the marketing campaigns that introduced superstars Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran to the world, and more recently lead the digital marketing strategy for the soundtracks for the films Barbie and Twisters.
