Hope Springs Eternal At Hopeless Records

• Leading independent record label Hopeless Records is proud to announce the expansion of its team with several new hires and internal promotions.

Let’s start with the promotions of two 20-year Hopeless veterans: Ian Harrison is elevated to Executive Vice President and Erin Choi is upgraded to General Manager. And there’s more — Christina Johns is upped to Vice President of Operations, and Nonafaye Williams is promoted to Sr. Director, Product Management.

With a commitment to nurturing diverse talent, Hopeless Records welcomes several fresh faces across various departments, including marketing, operations, and the label’s newest charity initiative, Hopeless Music Academy. That said, let’s meet the “new kids” — Jen Darmafall joins Hopeless Records as Director of Marketing, transitioning from a similar role with ATG Group. Darmafall earlier served as Assoc. Director, Influencer Marketing at Warner Records.

Rheanna “Caedance” Lauren joins the team as Program Director of Hopeless Music Academy, the label’s latest philanthropic effort — a state-of-the-art music studio in North Hollywood, CA, that will welcome under-resourced youth from the Los Angeles area who would like to learn more about music business, or learn to make music, at no cost to them.

Louis Posen, Founder of Hopeless Records, stated, “One of the most rewarding aspects of leading Hopeless through our first 30 years has been contributing to the development of peoples personal, professional and artistic careers. I am so excited for Ian, Erin and Christina after they worked so hard to now have larger leadership roles with our amazing team. The three of them, alongside [CFO] Al Person, and [EVP of A&R] Eric Tobin, comprise a caring and talented executive team. Nonafaye’s promotion, and welcoming Jen Darmafall to the family rounds out our smart, creative, and passionate marketing team that is best in class in developing artists’ careers.”

Posen continued, “Additionally, the Hopeless Music Academy, a long-time dream of our company, is finally a reality because of the great work of our new Program Director, Rheanna. I can’t wait to be part of the future of Hopeless, led by these special people and the rest of our team.”
