Bobby Smith Purchases Alarm Clock
• Audacy Philadelphia keeps it in the family to replace market icon Jenn Ryan, longtime morning co-host on AC WBEB (B101), who recently announced her retirement, closing out a successful 32-year career, the last 16 at B101, and the last 14 as morning co-host alongside co-host Bill Tafrow and Producer Laura Boss.
Say good morning to the familiar face of Bobby Smith, who gets the call and moves up from afternoon drive to mornings, alongside Laura Boss, who will serve as Executive Producer/3rd mic. Smith broke his big news via Instagram. He will also “stay after” and roll solo from 10am-noon, followed by Tafrow, who, after 21 years as morning co-host will now transition to afternoon drive, effective today.
As these changes go into effect, the only missing piece is a new morning co-host to plug in alongside Smith and Boss. The posting for this key position is now playing on the Audacy Careers portal [ID 2025-7284].
