Matt’s On The Comeback Trail
Pinfield expressed his immense gratitude in a Monday Facebook post that reads, “I just wanted to thank all of my family, friends, and followers for all of your prayers, love, and support during such a difficult time. It made all the difference in my recovery. Your collective positivity and encouragement has been overwhelming. Even while emerging from a coma, my attitude remained the same as always. Grateful for the gift of life and being able to enjoy all of the people and music that I love. It is not lost on me how close I was to death from this stroke. Multiple medical experts thought there was a strong possibility that I would never speak or walk again. I still have a lot of work to do but I’m continuing with my rehabilitation and therapy and continually improving every day. It puts a smile on my face knowing I’ll be back on the airwaves with you very soon! So much love and thanks to you all!! I wouldn’t be here without you.”
And the good news gets better: Pinfield is scheduled to make his first public appearance on Thursday, May 1 when Green Day gets their star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Pinfield is slated to speak at the 11:30am event, alongside actor Ryan Reynolds and tennis legend Serena Williams.
