Moody Radio Transitions To National Network

• We don’t normally cover a lot of Christian radio news, but this development out of Moody Radio reflects the ongoing challenges facing our industry.

Moody Bible Institute President Dr. Mark Jobe announced that Moody Radio will undergo “a strategic realignment” and transition to a national network format, and to that end is launching a new nationally distributed morning show — the WMBI/Chicago-based Karl & Crew, starting June 2 (Meet Karl & Crew here).

As you may have already guessed, concurrent with this announcement comes word that existing morning teams in Moody Radio markets “will cease airing over the course of the next couple weeks,” so says the announcement.

Here are the shows that will be ending: Tampa Bay: Kurt Goff & Kate Bruington • Miami: Eric Johnson & Brigitte Sylvestre • Cleveland: Brian Dahlen • Indianapolis: Kelli Thompson & Steve Hocker • Grand Rapids: Perry LaHaie & Shawna Beyer • Chattanooga: Tom McElligott & Tabi Upton • Quad Cities: Seth Mela & Deb Gustafson.
