UMG Donates $500K To Manchester Fund
On the heels of yesterday’s wildly successful concert, it was announced that Universal Music Group has donated $500,000 to the “We Love Manchester Memorial Fund.” In a statement, UMG Chairman & CEO Sir Lucian Grainge told Variety, “The Universal Music Group global family is proud to stand with Ariana Grande and its other performing artists in their support for the victims and families affected by the Manchester attack with a combined donation of US $500,000 to the ‘We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.'”
According to concert organizers, Twitter, Spotify and YouTube also handed over sizable donations to the Fund, established to aid the victims and the families of the 22 killed and scores of others injured in the May 22 suicide bombing after Grande’s concert at the Manchester Arena.
