Miller Bounces Back To Rubber City
• Rubber City Radio Classic Rock 97.5 WONE/Akron, OH is thrilled to welcome home former longtime station veteran Sandra Miller, this time as PD and morning host.
Miller (left) famously spent more than two decades at WONE, from 1998 until 2020 — doing nights and later, middays until 2013, when she was elevated to morning co-host alongside Jeff Kinzbach, adding APD stripes in 2016. Ironically, Miller and Kinzbach were replaced in June 2021 by now former PD Matt Spatz and his morning co-host Amanda Casey — who exited several weeks ago.
Miller now circles back after a four-year run in middays at Cumulus Classic Rock WYFM (Y103)/Youngstown.
“Returning to 97.5 feels like coming home,” Miller said. “It’s even more special as we are celebrating our 40th Anniversary. To return as Program Director and to be back in mornings is a dream come true. Akron has some of the most passionate and loyal radio listeners anywhere and I’m excited to reconnect with them.”
OM Ray Horner concurs, adding, “It’s pretty special to have Sandra back in the building, leading the station she and her listeners grew up with. The whole company was so excited when she agreed to come back.”
