• Hearst Mainstream Rock WIYY (98 Rock)/Baltimore has elevated Creative Services Producer Scott Lester to Programming & Production Coordinator, effective Oct. 1.
The official announcement was made in a staff memo from recently minted 98 Rock PD Justin Johnson, (and posted to Instagram), which states, in part, “Scott will take on the position of Programming and Production Coordinator, bringing his deep passion for the 98 Rock brand, its talent, and rock music to the forefront. To maximize various experiences in radio, Scott will oversee production, help shape our music direction, and contribute creatively to our promotions. Please join us in congratulating Scott on his exciting new chapter with 98 Rock!”
Lester has served in his current role with 98 Rock and News-Talk sister WBAL since December 2021. He previously spent 18 months with iHeartMedia Los Angeles as a Custom Producer for the syndicated Valentine in the Morning and The Ellen K Weekend Show, preceded by a decade with iHeart Baltimore/DC as a producer of The Kane Show, Exec. Producer of the Premiere-syndicated Club Kane, and Programming Asst. for Top 40 WZFT (Z104.3)/Baltimore.
