‘Tanch’ Is Back In Albany!

• Pamal Country WKLI (100.9/107.1 The Cat)/Albany, NY welcomes yet another familiar voice back into the family — Jamie Tanchyk, the artist formerly known as “Tanch” during his earlier eight-year run in Albany, is making his virtual return to the market to track late nights on The Cat. He will retain his current day job doing middays (as “JT“) with Connoisseur Country KUPL (98.7 The Bull)/Portland, OR.

The Albany gig marks a radio homecoming for Tanchyk, whose previous history with Pamal dates back to 2006, when he was APD/night jock on Top 40 sister WFLY (Fly 92.3). He later programmed Townsquare Urban Hot 99.1, Pamal Rhythmic WAJZ (Jamz 96.3) and Pamal Triple A WZMR (104.9 The Peak) until May 2014, when he headed west to Seattle as APD/afternoon personality on Entercom’s KHTP (The New Hot 103.7)/Seattle.

Tanch extended his thanks to Kevin Callahan, Pamal Exec. Director of Ops & Programming for this opportunity. “Kevin shared his strategic vision for The Cat’s talent line-up and I knew I had to be a part of it. I’m excited to share that I’m stepping into the prestigious role of the Capital Region’s ‘ringleader of good times and bad decisions,’ weeknights from 10pm-2am  I can’t wait to split the Uber on the ride home from McGeary’s with the 518! Big thanks to Kevin Callahan and Pete Kelly for the opportunity!”

Tanch joins another familiar Pamal veteran cracking the mic on The Cat — as we reported earlier this week, former FLY 92 veteran Marissa Lanchak will assume command of The Cat midday shift, starting Monday, Sept. 29.
